The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sole ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perseus moves away.

Sole has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sole doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Perseus blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Perseus wants a takedown but no success here.
Perseus blocking some punches.
Sole throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Perseus blocks it with crossed arms.

Jacks Sole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sole lands a nice looking body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sole creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Perseus's defenses.

Sole lands with a light punch inside.
Sole scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Sole is stalling here.
Perseus drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sole pulls his leg out and moves away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Perseus misses with a double jab.

Sole throws a lazy right hand but Perseus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sole tries to clinch up but Perseus circles away and keeps his distance.
A jab from Perseus finds it's way through Sole's defenses.
Sole throws a leg kick which misses Perseus's front leg but catches the back leg as Perseus tries to avoid it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sole looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Perseus!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sole dominating with strikes here.
Sole with the ground and pound from mount.
Sole pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Perseus takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Sole's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
