Barrymore comes to the cage accompanied by The Thing That Should Not Be. Theopolis Barrymore had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barrymore drives through and clinches with Darko against the cage.
Barrymore tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Darko smiles and moves away.
Barrymore shoots in looking for a takedown. Darko tries to sprawl out of it but Barrymore keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Darko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Barrymore misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Theopolis Barrymore. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barrymore tries to score a power double leg takedown but Darko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barrymore somewhat.

Donnie Darko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Darko drops Barrymore with a beautiful combination! Barrymore stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Darko is looking for the KO!

Barrymore is rocked!

It looks like Theopolis Barrymore has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barrymore walks straight into a right hand from Darko - that's dropped him! Darko jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Barrymore from any more punishment! Barrymore complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
