Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Barn Cat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wong Mongtong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mongtong has chosen Blackened as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Wong Mongtong will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wong Mongtong!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mongtong tries a head kick but it misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Mongtong checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Mongtong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mongtong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cat throws a head kick that misses.
Cat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Cat.
Cat checks a low kick from Mongtong.
Mongtong scores with a nice body kick.
Cat misses with a head kick.
Cat digs a good hook to Mongtong's body.
Cat throws a wild body kick that Mongtong sees coming a mile off.
Cat checks a low kick from Mongtong.
Cat throws a leg kick but Mongtong moved away.
Cat takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cat connects with a high kick.
It looks like Wong Mongtong has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mongtong moves into range and clinches up with Cat.
Cat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mongtong is looking to slow Cat down with leg kicks.
Good work by Cat as he checks the leg kick.
Cat motions for Mongtong to come forward. Cat throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Mongtong throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cat's head.
Mongtong misses with a head kick.
Mongtong throws a sloppy head kick and Cat moves out of range easily.
Cat misses the jab.
Cat throws an off balance right hand
and Mongtong counters with a thumping low kick.
Cat throws a head kick that misses
and Mongtong counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Mongtong! Cat is out on his feet! Mongtong rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Cat is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Cat is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wong Mongtong!
