Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Baxter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erik Zarkov!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zarkov tries to clinch up but Baxter circles away and keeps his distance.
Zarkov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Baxter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Baxter stuffs the takedown attempt from Zarkov. Zarkov gets slowly back to his feet.

Zarkov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baxter on his heels. He'll look to pass Baxter's guard now, I'm sure.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Baxter is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Zarkov has gone for a leg lock! Baxter slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zarkov's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zarkov looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Baxter has picked Zarkov up and slammed him! Zarkov can't keep hold of the triangle and Baxter manages to pass to side control!

Zarkov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

It looks like Erik Zarkov has been cut.
Zarkov wants to control but Baxter is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zarkov is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zarkov is squirming around, avoiding Baxter's attempts to control the action.

Baxter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Baxter cracks Zarkov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.


The cut above Erik Zarkov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Zarkov is working to get back to half guard.
Zarkov squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Baxter postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Zarkov badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Baxter around the waist but Baxter pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Baxter is the winner by TKO! Baxter jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Baxter!
Brian Baxter really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Reaper Combatwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
