Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalle Monsterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Topohanta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Topohanta has chosen DJ Proteus : Illuminati as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monsterson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Topohanta quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Monsterson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Monsterson throws a strike but Topohanta rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Topohanta gets caught napping as Monsterson dives in and scores a takedown. Topohanta manages to retain guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Monsterson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Topohanta is trying to defend but Monsterson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Topohanta avoids a strike by Monsterson and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Monsterson's guard! Fantastic escape!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A looping hook to the body misses from Monsterson. Topohanta does a little dance to reset his feet.

Monsterson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Topohanta on the side of the head.

Monsterson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Topohanta.

Monsterson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Topohanta has managed to free his arm - good work.
Monsterson is taking a breather. Topohanta says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Topohanta has hold of Monsterson's hands but Monsterson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Monsterson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Topohanta's head.
