Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hank Holmes!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strauss with a lazy takedown attempt
and Holmes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Holmes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Johan Strauss has been cut.
Holmes darts in and clinches Strauss up against the cage.
Holmes lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Holmes misses with the head strike.
Holmes lands a nice uppercut.
Holmes blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Strauss dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Holmes lands a left hand that snaps the head of Strauss backwards.
Strauss tries to pull guard but Holmes holds him up against the cage and eventually Strauss drops back down to his feet.

Holmes pushes Strauss back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Strauss tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Holmes smiles and moves away.

Strauss avoids the body shot from Holmes.
Holmes goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Strauss avoids a punch combination nicely.
Strauss changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Holmes tries to avoid it but Strauss manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Holmes to the ground. Holmes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Holmes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Holmes dodges the punch combination from Strauss.
Strauss tries to move into range but Holmes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Holmes tries to clinch but Strauss moves out of range.
Holmes tries to clinch up but Strauss circles away and keeps his distance.
Holmes moves into the clinch.
Strauss changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Holmes fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Holmes tries to close the distance and clinch but Strauss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Strauss misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Holmes is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Holmes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Strauss stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holmes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Holmes throws his legs up looking for a submission but Strauss uses it to pass to side control.

Holmes is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Holmes manages to get back to half guard.

Holmes is pressing down on Strauss's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Strauss is working Holmes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Strauss working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Strauss got a little sloppy there for a moment and Holmes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Strauss has managed to get both his arms back between Holmes's legs - danger averted.
Holmes is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Strauss has his hands clasped together but Holmes extends an breaks Strauss's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Holmes.
