The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Santos to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Santos postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Adams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Santos, into his guard.

Adams is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted.

Adams is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Adams pulls Santos in close to his closed guard and prevents Santos from doing any damage or advancing position.
Adams manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Santos can't escape the position.
