PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorges Papadopoulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruger's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Tnt. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Giorges Papadopoulos was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Kruger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Giorges Papadopoulos!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papadopoulos takes a swing at Kruger's ribcage but misses.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kruger keeps Papadopoulos under control for a moment.
You can see the frustration on Kruger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kruger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Papadopoulos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Giorges Papadopoulos will probably get the nod.
That's time! Kruger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Giorges Papadopoulos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Papadopoulos shoots for a double leg takedown but Kruger sprawls well. He's pushed Papadopoulos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

It looks like Giorges Papadopoulos has been cut.
Papadopoulos throws a lazy right hand but Kruger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Papadopoulos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


Papadopoulos is rocked!
John Kruger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giorges Papadopoulos.
Papadopoulos on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kruger ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kruger digs a good body shot into Papadopoulos's ribs.
Papadopoulos takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Papadopoulos is still on wobbly legs! Can Kruger finish him?


That has opened up Giorges Papadopoulos's cut even more.
Papadopoulos is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Kruger doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Papadopoulos crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Papadopoulos's bad books for that mishap!

John Kruger seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
