Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mao Zedong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grimlock Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wu Tang Clan - Method Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up but Zedong circles away and keeps his distance.

Zedong rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.
Zedong blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jones lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Zedong has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Zedong ducks under a wild hook from Jones.
That kick from Jones tenderised Zedong's leg. Zedong is trying to keep his angry face on.
Zedong misses with a straight left.
A head kick misses from Zedong.

Zedong instigates a clinch.
Jones can't find room to land a body shot as Zedong controls the action.

Zedong changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Still in the clinch, Jones scores with a nice short uppercut.

Jones is trying to trip Zedong. He has hold of a leg but Zedong is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zedong controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
Zedong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zedong's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Zedong tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Zedong is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Oh Zedong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Jones trying to control but Zedong is having none of it.
A big strike lands for Jones! That's really hurt Zedong and he's turned his back - Jones keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Jones jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
