Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Semenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Damascus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dmitry Semenov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Damascus!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Damascus as he connects with a hook.
Semenov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Semenov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Damascus was covering up waiting for the punch and Semenov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Semenov is looking to work some ground and pound but Damascus has wrist control.
Damascus keeping moving, preventing Semenov from controlling successfully.
Semenov with a flurry of punches that miss.
Semenov postures up in Damascus's guard and throws a big left but Damascus blocks it.
Damascus preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Semenov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Damascus works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Semenov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Semenov is standing up over Damascus. Damascus looks to escape but Semenov dives into side control.
Semenov throws an elbow but Damascus slips to the side and avoids it well.

Semenov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Semenov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Damascus is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Semenov works to advance to full mount. Damascus defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Semenov drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Semenov seems to have locked his on tight now - Damascus screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Semenov, as he picks up the win!
