The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gorilla throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Chee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gorilla is in Chee's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gorilla controls from within his opponent's guard.

Chee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chee tries to get out of the position.

You can see the frustration on Chee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Chee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gorilla wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Gorilla is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Chee's shoulder. That is not cool.
Chee gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Gorilla is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Chee to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Chee shrugs it off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chee wants to improve his position but Gorilla is controlling well.

Chee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gorilla on the ground.
Gorilla moves nicely into side control.
Gorilla passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Chee!
Gorilla lands with some strikes.
Gorilla cracks Chee with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chee looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
Gorilla postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Chee in real trouble here! The ref calls for Chee to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
