The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Remnant changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson is looking to reverse the position.
Remnant lands a nice forearm strike.
Remnant wants to control but Anderson is keeping him busy.
Remnant throwing strikes but Anderson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Remnant gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Anderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Remnant's head.
Remnant regains full guard. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Remnant is retaining full guard.

Remnant is looking to sinch up a triangle. Anderson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Remnant's body to avoid the submission. Remnant has instead reached around Anderson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Remnant arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
