Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kert Nigobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Grozni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grozni has chosen Миша Маваши - & as his entrance music. Ivan Grozni told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grozni throws a body punch but Nigobson moves out of range.
Nigobson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Grozni lands with a cross.
Nigobson misses with a low kick as Grozni jumps back.
Grozni misses with a looping right.
Nigobson throws a wild body kick that Grozni sees coming a mile off.

Nigobson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Grozni is trying to defend but Nigobson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Grozni swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Grozni lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Grozni throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nigobson looks to land a body kick but Grozni moved away.
Ivan Grozni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Horrible takedown by Nigobson or perhaps it was just good defense by Grozni which made him look bad.

Grozni throws a nice looking combination but Nigobson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Grozni tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nigobson was well out of range. Poor timing from Grozni.

Grozni clobbers Nigobson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Grozni throws a right and a left that Nigobson avoids nicely.
Nigobson slips a jab and a cross from Grozni.
A slapping leg kick lands for Nigobson.
Nigobson throws a low kick but Grozni moves out of range easily.
Grozni displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nigobson.
Nigobson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Grozni counters with a left and a right that stings Nigobson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kert Nigobson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nigobson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grozni circles away quickly and effectively.
Grozni uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nigobson.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like Kert Nigobson has been cut.
Nigobson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Good leg kick by Nigobson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

A close round but Ivan Grozni will probably get the nod.

Grozni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nigobson.

Nigobson loads up on a big left hand. Grozni felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Nigobson looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Grozni can't hide his disappointment, as Nigobson celebrates the victory.
