Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daws Berrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Basit Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berrera comes into the arena with High School Gym blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berrera lands a head kick!

It looks like Basit Ali has been cut.
Ali looks for a takedown but Berrera sprawls well.
Ali shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Berrera counters with a series of strikes. Ali will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ali shoots for a takedown but Berrera saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Daws Berrera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Basit Ali.
Berrera defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ali.
Berrera tries a head kick but it misses.
Ali tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Berrera swivels and escapes.
Basit Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Berrera counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Berrera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Berrera pushes Ali up against the cage in a clinch.

Ali closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Berrera's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Berrera is on top in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Berrera connects with a combination that backs up Ali into the cage. Berrera lands a flurry of punches that gets past Ali's guard. Ali is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Berrera bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
