Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hammer Fist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodniel Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romero has chosen Kanye West - Amazing as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodniel Romero!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fist dives in and grabs Romero's left leg, looking for a takedown. Romero pushes down on Fist's head and hops out.

Fist tries to score a power double leg takedown but Romero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fist somewhat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Hammer Fist will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fist drops back, looking for a kneebar! Romero looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Romero looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Romero!

Romero is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fist is just riding it out for now. Romero eventually gives up the hold.

Rodniel Romero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Romero feints a jab promting Fist to slip. Romero then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fist slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Romero counters with a one-two to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rodniel Romero comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Romero has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Rodniel Romero started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
