Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Duran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Prime Time!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Time jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Time throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Time lands with a good body shot.
Jab by Time.
Time misses with a looping left.
Duran misses with a body shot.
Time throws a sloppy head kick
and Duran counters with a low kick, right behind Time 's knee.
Time throws a low kick but it's checked well by Duran.
A swing and a miss from Time.
Duran leaves Time with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Time has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Time there as he acknowledges the shot.
Time swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Duran gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Time to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Duran has his foot on Time's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Time works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Time takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Duran counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Time thinking.

and Duran counters with a straight right hand.
Time lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Time moves out of range of the body kick.
Time dives in and grabs Duran's left leg, looking for a takedown. Duran pushes down on Time's head and hops out.
Jose Duran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Prime Time.

Duran closes the distance and pushes Time back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Time tries to work over Duran's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Time throws a punch but it's blocked by Duran.

Time swings wildly with an uppercut but Duran uses good head movement to avoid it.

Time takes a knee right on the jaw!
Duran prevents a body shot from Time.
Time throws a head punch that misses.
Duran misses with a body punch.
Duran tries a knee to the head but Time blocks it.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Time scores with a shot to the side of Duran's head.

Time pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Time shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Time thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Duran is looking to get to half guard.
Poor strikes thrown by Time there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Duran counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Time thinking.

Time feints and as Duran raises his hands in defense, Time changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Time wants to control from the top but Duran keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duran pulls Time in close to his closed guard and prevents Time from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Prime Time was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Some bone on bone action there as Time checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Duran throws a lazy right hand but Time sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Time works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Duran throws a shot to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Time.
Time shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duran pinned against the cage. Duran gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Time. That's going to slow Duran down.
Duran thows a body shot but no joy.
Duran misses with a combination
enabling Time to counter with a crisp jab.
Time shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duran as he jumps to the side.
Duran ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Duran swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Duran has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Time.
Duran slips a straight right by Time.

Prime Time seems to be getting the better of the standup.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Time fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Duran has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Time looks to score with a jab to the body but Duran is just out of range.
Time buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Prime Time showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Duran takes a jab right on the kisser.
Time misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Duran ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Time defending well as Duran loads up on a big left hand.
Time digs a good body shot into Duran's ribs.
Duran is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Duran is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Time throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Time feints and then cracks Duran's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Duran down.

Duran drops Time with a beautiful combination! Time stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Duran is looking for the KO!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Time.

Time takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Duran fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Time checks it well.

A bone on bone clash there as Duran blocks the leg kick.

Duran pushes Time up against the cage in a clinch.

Duran gets through Time's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

The referee is keeping an eye on Time - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The fight stays on the outside here - Duran looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Duran lands a big head kick that sends Time tumbling to the mat! Duran takes a step backwards and waves Time back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Duran gets caught flat footed, as Time shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Time is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?

Duran escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Time gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Time throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Duran works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Time throwing strikes but missing.
Duran is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Duran is really struggling to control Time but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Time looking to sit in guard and control but Duran gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jose Duran just wasn't active enough.
Duran throws a looping overhand right but Time ducks down to avoid it.
Time fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Time closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duran circles away.

Duran jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Duran uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Time.

Prime Time comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Time has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
