Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sinisa Veljko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rydolf Karel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veljko comes to the cage accompanied by Stemm - Face the pain. Karel has chosen Hail Czech as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Sinisa Veljko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rydolf Karel! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karel gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Karel crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Veljko - the referee stops the clock and Karel gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Veljko. Karel manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. The fight moves into the clinch position. Veljko looking for a takedown. Veljko has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Karel avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Karel has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Veljko clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Veljko is keeping busy.
Karel is throwing shots to the body but Veljko manages to wriggle free. Karel pounces on him again and ends up in Veljko's guard. Karel's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karel throws a big right hand that misses. Karel trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Veljko manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Veljko controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karel trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Veljko's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Veljko wants to control from the top but Karel keeps moving. Karel can't keep his opponent in guard - Veljko advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Veljko is pressing down on Karel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Karel is holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karel is staying active underneath Veljko, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Veljko not doing much here.
Karel tries to get to full guard but Veljko has control of the leg. Veljko thows a huge punch but Karel dodges it nicely.
Veljko not landing any meaningful shots this time. Veljko throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Veljko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Veljko missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Veljko working Karel over with strikes. Veljko scoring with strikes to the body and head. Veljko controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karel has a hand on Veljko's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Veljko takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Veljko wants to control the pace but Karel is squirming around nicely. Veljko with shots to the head and body - Karel looks very uncomfortable down there. Karel is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Veljko thowing shots but they're missing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Poor strikes thrown by Veljko there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Veljko looking to finish Karel with some ground and pound. This is bad for Karel! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karel avoids a series of strikes thrown by Veljko.

Karel trying to control the position from guard on top but Veljko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Veljko can't keep his opponent in guard - Karel advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Karel throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Karel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Veljko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Karel is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Karel sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sinisa Veljko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Veljko has his feet on Karel's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rydolf Karel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Veljko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Karel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Karel's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Karel duly obliges. Karel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Veljko. Veljko misses with a looping right. Veljko shoots in for a takedown but Karel shows good takedown defense. Karel misses with a wild combination.
Veljko fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sinisa Veljko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Karel tests Veljko's chin there with a solid looking shot. Veljko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Karel avoids it really well and circles away.

Karel is trying to drag Veljko to the mat but Veljko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Veljko wants a takedown.

Veljko is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Karel pulls him back up using the underhooks. Karel turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Karel has knee on belly momentarily but Veljko bucks him off and regains half guard. Veljko is trying to stand back up but Karel is controlling him

That's three minutes gone in the round. Karel takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Veljko taking some punishment here, with Karel in his half guard. Veljko is not content to let Karel control the position. Karel looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Karel keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Veljko tries to kick Karel off but Karel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karel throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Veljko to regain full guard. Karel looking to pass the guard. Veljko keeping moving, preventing Karel from controlling successfully. Veljko is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Veljko keeping moving, preventing Karel from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Veljko works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Rydolf Karel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Karel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
