Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bower comes to the cage accompanied by When I'm With You. Silva has chosen Dirty Hous' as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Bower!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Mauricio Silva!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Silva.
Silva misses with an uppercut.
Silva scores with a leg kick.
Bower lunges at Silva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Silva's hand.
Bower loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Bower swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silva.

Silva connects with a leg kick. Bower looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bower connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.
Bower wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.

Bower fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Silva throws a head kick but Bower moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva lands with a kick to the temple. Bower shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Bower throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.

Silva rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bower counters with a low kick, right behind Silva 's knee.
Bower ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dave Bower will probably get the nod.

Bower feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
