PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Pep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Veron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pep comes into the arena with Iron Theme Song (Here Comes The Boom - Nelly) blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Veron's choice of entrance music: Breathe - Prodigy. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Pep.
Veron keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pep.
A telegraphed right hand from Pep misses the target.
Veron misses with a body kick.
Veron takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Pep scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pep fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Veron on the side of the head.
Pep works over Veron's head and body with a nice combination.
Pep blocks a leg kick.
Pep avoids a kick to the body.
No joy there for Pep, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pep checks a low kick from Veron.
Veron slips under a jab from Pep.
Veron tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pep paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Veron tries a low kick but Pep avoids it.
Pep throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pep thows a body shot but no joy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pep walks into a left hand.
Veron lands an overhand right.

Pep misses with a body shot.
Pep ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Veron moves away.
Nice cross by Pep.
Veron takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Veron is rocked!
Veron walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Pep swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

In his post fight interview, Frankie Pep started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
