The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grimes off to one side.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Grimes pushes him off.
Silva pushes Grimes up against the cage in a clinch.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grimes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Grimes's legs - danger averted.
