Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Reade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristiano Nascimento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cristiano Nascimento was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cristiano Nascimento!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reade throws a leg kick which misses Nascimento's front leg but catches the back leg as Nascimento tries to avoid it.
Reade checks a low kick from Nascimento.
Nascimento waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Reade.
Nascimento blocks a head kick by Reade.
Nascimento catches Reade with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nascimento connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Nascimento just misses with a punch to the body.
Nascimento throws an overhand right that lands on Reade's shoulder, as Reade tries to avoid the shot.
Reade misses with a wild body shot.
Nascimento avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Reade fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nascimento has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nascimento misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reade throws a sloppy head kick and Nascimento moves out of range easily.
A head kick misses from Reade.
No joy there for Reade, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nascimento looks to score with a jab to the body but Reade is just out of range.
Reade bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A head kick from Reade lands but Nascimento takes it in his stride.

It looks like Cristiano Nascimento has been cut.
Reade's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nascimento connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Reade scrambles back to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Reade.
Reade closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reade will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nascimento lands with a straight right. Reade didn't see that one coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nascimento buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Reade tries to bum rush Nascimento with a series of wild strikes but Nascimento uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nascimento misses with a few strikes there.
Nascimento rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Reade counters with a slapping leg kick.
Reade thows a leg kick but Nascimento checks it

and Nascimento counters with a crisp one two that drops Reade! Nascimento thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Reade to his feet! Reade is in big trouble!

Reade is rocked!
Nascimento sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Reade's defenses. It connects perfectly with Reade's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cristiano Nascimento!
