Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamamoto Takiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Marcos Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yamamoto Takiyama!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Knight. Beautiful body shot.
Knight looks to land a combination but Takiyama avoids it well.
Knight looks to land a left hand but Takiyama moved out of range nicely.

Takiyama scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Takiyama is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Knight has managed to free his arm - good work.

Takiyama patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Takiyama is looking for a choke. Knight gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Knight manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Takiyama wants to sweep here but Knight controlling him for the moment.

Yamamoto Takiyama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Takiyama fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Takiyama shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knight pinned against the cage. Knight gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Takiyama changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knight tries to avoid it but Takiyama manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knight to the ground. Knight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Marcos Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yamamoto Takiyama.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takiyama looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Knight is fending him off so far but Takiyama persists. Nope, Knight circles away and we're back to standing.
Takiyama shoots in for a takedown but Knight shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Marcos Knight is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Takiyama rushes Knight and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Knight wants to break the clinch but can't.

Knight breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Knight throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Takiyama.
Takiyama shoots in looking for a takedown but Knight manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Takiyama's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Knight scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Takiyama doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Knight tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Takiyama clinches up with Knight and pushes him back against the cage.
Knight avoids the elbow strike from Takiyama, against the cage.
Takiyama is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Takiyama is trying to pull guard but Knight turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Takiyama is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Knight to keep the fight standing.
Knight lands an elbow inside that Takiyama shrugs off.


It looks like Yamamoto Takiyama has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Knight escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yamamoto Takiyama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Knight lands a head shot.
Knight throws a series of punches but Takiyama avoids them all with ease.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knight misses with the combination.
Knight throws a big shot that misses.

Takiyama gets the takedown into side control.

Takiyama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Takiyama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Takiyama tries to advance to mount but can't.
Yamamoto Takiyama is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Takiyama slows the pace down.

Takiyama goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Knight rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Takiyama's guard! Nice work there by Knight!

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Yamamoto Takiyama.
I've got Takiyama winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
