The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deedz shoots and misses
and Deedz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Deedz tries to clinch there but Orsini circles away.
Deedz with a poor takedown
and Orsini counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Orsini throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Orsini's jab looks to have found its range, popping Deedz under the eye.
That kick from Deedz tenderised Orsini's leg. Orsini is trying to keep his angry face on.
Orsini throws a body punch but Deedz moves out of range.
Deedz slips a jab from Orsini.

Deedz gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Deedz is looking to take this one to the mat.
Jose Guilherme Orsini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diry Deedz.

Deedz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Deedz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Deedz is looking to clinch but Orsini is avoiding it.
Deedz slips a jab from Orsini.
Deedz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Orsini.
Orsini misses with a lunging right hand
and Deedz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Orsini counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Orsini winds up and cracks Deedz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Deedz tries to get to full guard but Orsini has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Orsini thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Deedz's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Orsini is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Deedz wants to control but Orsini is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Deedz pushes Orsini off looking to stand but Orsini dives back in and keeps control.
Deedz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Orsini. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Orsini thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Orsini is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Orsini is nestled in close to Deedz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Orsini in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Deedz tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Orsini!
