Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Mix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Mix has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Mix!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mix gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Boyd on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Boyd is trying to force a seperation but Mix has the dominant position.
Mix is trying to pull guard but Boyd turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Boyd tries to circle away but Mix has him pinned against the cage.
Mix has Boyd pressed against the cage, preventing Boyd from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Mix prevents Boyd from breaking the clinch.

Mix jumps into guard, dragging Boyd to the mat.
Boyd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mix swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mix has his foot on Boyd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boyd works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Cody Boyd will probably get the nod.

Mix closes the distance and clinches up with Boyd, looking for a takedown. Mix pushes Boyd against the cage but Boyd circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dave Mix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cody Boyd will probably get the nod.

Mix jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Boyd is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Boyd and Mix has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cody Boyd.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boyd, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
