Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Palermo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Mercier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palermo comes to the cage accompanied by Rock You Like a Hurricane by Scorpion. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercier's jab looks to have found its range, popping Palermo under the eye.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mercier tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Palermo was well out of range. Poor timing from Mercier.
Mercier scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Mercier throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Palermo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mercier cracks Palermo with an open hand slap.
Mercier ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Palermo moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mercier lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Palermo falls backwards - clearly groggy! Mercier dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
