Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Patton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donald Fraser!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patton clinches up against the cage.

Patton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fraser can't fight it off and eventually Patton manages to take the fight to the floor. Fraser looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Patton wants to control from the top but Fraser keeps moving.
Patton is working Fraser over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Fraser tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Fraser shoots in and bounces Patton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Patton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fraser is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Patton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fraser's back instead.
Patton is breathing heavily.
Patton is hanging on to Fraser's back as he tries to escape.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fraser rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Fraser feints and then cracks Patton's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Patton down.
Fraser rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Patton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fraser fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Patton tries to close the distance and clinch but Fraser swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Patton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fraser pinned against the cage. Fraser gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Patton forces Fraser back against the cage and clinches.
Patton tries to pull guard but Fraser holds him up against the cage and eventually Patton drops back down to his feet.
Fraser is trying to break the clinch but Patton has him pressed against the cage.
Patton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fraser pulls his leg out and moves away.
Patton misses with a body kick.
Patton fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Fraser. No joy for Patton on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Patton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Patton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fraser tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Patton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Patton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Patton wants to control but Fraser is keeping him busy.
Fraser is trying to get back to full guard.
Fraser is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Patton scores with a couple of nice shots.
Fraser makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fraser.

Fraser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Patton's guard.
Fraser wanted to stand there but Patton had control of the position.

Let's hope that Fraser has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Patton frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fraser is squirming around, avoiding Patton's attempts to control the action.
Fraser wants to hold on but Patton pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A nice elbow there by Patton.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Patton lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fraser hang on?

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Fraser gets caught flat footed, as Patton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fraser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Patton is one step ahead there.
Fraser can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Patton controls the pace.

Patton gets to his feet. Fraser looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Patton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fraser throws a right and a left that both miss.
Patton misses with a wild body shot.
Patton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fraser as he avoids it easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fraser misses with a double jab
and Patton counters with a three punch combo that has Fraser backing up. Fraser nods at Patton to acknowledge the strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fraser avoids the body shot from Patton.
Patton lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Fraser can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Patton and Fraser drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Patton.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Patton!
