The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorilla changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Panuway tries to avoid it but Gorilla manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Panuway to the ground. Panuway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gorilla closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gorilla not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Gorilla slips a nice elbow through Panuway's hands, connecting with Panuway's forehead.
Gorilla lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Gorilla cracks Panuway with a big right hand but Panuway just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
