PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andy Rasinde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Dirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Rasinde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Dirt!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rasinde drives through and clinches with Dirt against the cage.
Rasinde is pressed up against the cage. Dirt has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rasinde down to the mat. Rasinde avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rasinde defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dirt.
Rasinde moves in looking to clinch but Dirt pushes him off.
Rasinde shoots in looking for a takedown. Dirt tries to sprawl out of it but Rasinde keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dirt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dirt has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rasinde is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rasinde is working for takedown but Dirt is calmly controlling the position for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dirt prevents Rasinde from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Andy Rasinde wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Rasinde or perhaps it was just good defense by Dirt which made him look bad.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dirt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That was a close round but I would say that Andy Rasinde will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rasinde throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rasinde changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dirt tries to avoid it but Rasinde manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dirt to the ground. Dirt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck for Dirt with that takedown attempt.

Rasinde shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dirt but Dirt pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rasinde feints a jab promting Dirt to slip. Rasinde then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dirt slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Dirt.
I think Dirt has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
