The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Average walks into a straight right hand from Lindstroem.

It looks like Joe Average has been cut.

Lindstroem fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Average is out of range.

Average bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Average's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Average rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Average has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lindstroem is working away from the top position though.
Lindstroem will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Average tries to lock up and control but Lindstroem gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lindstroem quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Lindstroem but it's paid off an Average is forced to tap! Nice work by Lindstroem.
