Pompies Jr drives through with a takedown into James's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Pompies Jr throws a strike but James rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pompies Jr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Pompies Jr's legs - danger averted.
James passes into half guard.

James is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pompies Jr is just riding it out for now. James eventually gives up the hold.

James wants to take a breather but Pompies Jr is having none of it.

James is trying to control. Pompies Jr wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Stafford James has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
James lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
James lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Pompies Jr out cold! Pompies Jr is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
