The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babuino takes one to the chin there.
Oliveira swats away the attempt to clinch by Babuino.
Babuino misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oliveira lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Babuino wants to clinch
and Oliveira counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Babuino is rocked!
Babuino tries to clinch but Oliveira is having none of it.
Oliveira loads up on a big right hand but Babuino slips the punch.

Oliveira fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Babuino, pushing him back against the cage.
Babuino tries a knee to the head but Oliveira blocks it.

Babuino pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Oliveira lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Babuino tries to break free but Oliveira pushes him back against the cage.
Babuino manages to break the clinch.

Babuino throws a head kick that misses.
Oliveira fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Babuino on the side of the head.
It looks like Sergio Babuino has been cut.
Babuino throws a sloppy head kick and Oliveira moves out of range easily.
Babuino swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oliveira cracks Babuino with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Babuino is still on wobbly legs! Can Oliveira finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Babuino looks to land a combination. Oliveira sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Babuino glances at the clock... BAM! Oliveira nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Babuino crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Babuino is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wendell Oliveira!
Wendell Oliveira was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
