Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between PO Burn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Erik Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burn comes to the cage accompanied by Animal i have become. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, PO Burn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Erik Andersen!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersen misses with a wild combination.
Some wild striking there from Andersen.
Burn wants to clinch up but Andersen keeps it at a distance.

Burn closes the distance and clinches.
Andersen lands a body punch in the clinch.

Burn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Andersen regains guard immediately.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burn is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Andersen can't fight it off and eventually Burn manages to take the fight to the floor. Andersen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Andersen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burn defends well.

Andersen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Burn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Andersen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Burn has picked Andersen up and slammed him! Andersen can't keep hold of the triangle and Burn manages to pass to side control!

Burn shoots for a takedown but Andersen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Andersen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Andersen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Burn manages to get himself to full guard.
Andersen is looking to advance position but Burn has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Burn moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Andersen has worked his arm free - good work by Andersen!

Burn scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Andersen to see if he's OK.

That was a close round but I would say that PO Burn will probably get the nod.

Burn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Andersens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Burn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Andersen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
PO Burn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Andersen gets back to half guard.

Andersen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Andersen works his way to full guard. Good work.
Burn wants to control from the top but Andersen keeps moving.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to PO Burn.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Burn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
