The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Gracie.
A left and a right from Gracie both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Sean Brophy has been cut.
Brophy misses with a two punch combination.
Gracie thows a body shot but no joy.
Brophy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.
Gracie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Gracie shoots in and bounces Brophy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Brophy is keeping the position.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Brophy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
Brophy wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brophy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gracie wants to hit a switch here but Brophy passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gracie there!
Brophy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brophy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Brophy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gracie is looking to escape.
