Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Out comes to the cage accompanied by Kickstart. David Luiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pablo Out!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Luiz!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luiz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Out's waist but Out gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Luiz off to one side.
Out wants to clinch
and Luiz counters with a stiff right hand.
Out looks to throw the jab but Luiz is out of range.
Good shot there by Out.
Pablo Out seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Out throws out a leg kick but Luiz moves out of range and Out only half commits.
No joy there for Luiz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Luiz shoots in for a double leg but Out sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Out's jab looks to have found its range, popping Luiz under the eye.
Out bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Luiz lands a body shot.
Luiz fails with a takedown attempt.
Pablo Out has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Luiz.
Luiz sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Luiz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Out tries to avoid it but Luiz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Out to the ground. Out escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Luiz throws a body punch but Out moves out of range.
Out fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Luiz on the side of the head.
Out throws an overhand right that lands on Luiz's shoulder, as Luiz tries to avoid the shot.
Pablo Out is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jab from Out.
Out pushes Luiz away with a front kick.
Luiz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Out swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Luiz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Out at a distance.
Luiz swinging wildly here.
Luiz paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A head kick misses from Out.
Out lands with a nice body kick.
Out lands with a nice body punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Out closes the distance but Luiz moves to the side
and Luiz counters with a three punch combo that has Out backing up. Out nods at Luiz to acknowledge the strikes.
Luiz throws an overhand right that lands on Out's shoulder, as Out tries to avoid the shot.
Out tries to land a front kick but Luiz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Out throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Luiz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Out as he jumps to the side.
Out throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Out sizes up Luiz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Luiz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Luiz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Out. Out circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Out looks to land a combination. Luiz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Luiz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Out's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Luiz lands a couple of digs.
Luiz throws a big right hand that misses.
Luiz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Luiz wants to pass the guard but Out is keeping the position.
Out preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Luiz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Luiz passes Out's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Out has hold of Luiz's hands but Luiz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Luiz is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Luiz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Luiz dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nice defenses there by Out.
A swing and a miss from Out.
Luiz misses with a looping left.
Out tries to land a leg kick but Luiz saw it coming and moves away.
A head kick misses from Out.
Out lands a head kick. Luiz smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Out stuffs the takedown.
Out tries to clinch up.
Out tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Luiz.
Out is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Luiz is chipping away with strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Out is looking for a sweep.
Luiz landing a few strikes.
Luiz misses with the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Out takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Luiz wants to control but Out is keeping him busy.
Luiz lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Out down.
Luiz is looking to take a break and control but Out is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The strikes coming from Luiz are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Luiz grinds an elbow into Out's temple.

Luiz is looking to take a break and control but Out is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Check out the look on Luiz's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Luiz looks up at the clock and then as Out takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Luiz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Luiz lands some shots froms side control.
Luiz fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Luiz sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Out is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Luiz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Out is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Luiz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Luiz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Out manages to avoid it.

Out avoids a punch combination nicely.
Luiz swings for the body but Out moves out of range.

Luiz takes the fight into the clinch.

Luiz works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Out is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Luiz defends well.
Luiz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ground and pound from Luiz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Pablo Out has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Luiz landing strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Luiz works to advance to full mount. Out defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Luiz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Luiz lands a heavy elbow.
Luiz has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Luiz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Luiz fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
David Luiz has got the better of the ground game so far.
Luiz postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Out in real trouble here! The ref calls for Out to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Luiz!
