Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Mapompo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heidan Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warren walks into a straight right hand from Mapompo.

Mapompo clinches up with Warren and pushes him back against the ropes.
Mapompo makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Warren tries for a takedown but Mapompo manages to get underhooks.
Mapompo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Mapompo lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Warren fails to pull guard.
Mapompo working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Mapompo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mapompo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Warren looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mapompo tries to clinch but Warren moves out of range.
Warren dives in and grabs Mapompo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mapompo pushes down on Warren's head and hops out.
George Mapompo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heidan Warren.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mapompo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mapompo wants to clinch up but Warren keeps it at a distance.

Mapompo rushes Warren and presses him up against the ropes.
Mapompo lands a left hand.
Warren tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Mapompo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Warren fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Mapompo breaks from the clinch.
Mapompo tries to clinch up.
Warren is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mapompo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mapompo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Warren stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Mapompo rushes Warren and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Mapompo pushes Warren back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Mapompo will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Warren up against the ropes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Warren is trying to pull guard but Mapompo turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Mapompo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Mapompo manages to break the clinch.

Mapompo closes the distance and clinches.
A short body shot lands from Mapompo as the two fighters clinch.

Warren looks gassed!

Mapompo lands a big head kick that sends Warren tumbling to the mat! Mapompo takes a step backwards and waves Warren back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Warren keeps the fight on the outside.

and Mapompo counters with a left to the body.

Mapompo gets a clinch.

Mapompo lands with a light punch inside.

Mapompo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mapompo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Horrible takedown by Warren or perhaps it was just good defense by Mapompo which made him look bad.
Warren looks up at the clock. Bad move! Mapompo lands a right hand from hell, dropping Warren. Mapompo pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Mapompo!

After winning the bout, George Mapompo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
