The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stalker checks a leg kick.
Sandoval throws a push kick but Stalker slaps the foot to one side.

Stalker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sandoval tries to avoid it but Stalker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sandoval to the ground. Sandoval escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sandoval takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Stalker tries to close the distance and clinch but Sandoval swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sandoval wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Sandoval throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stalker sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sandoval takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Stalker takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Stalker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sandoval is fending him off so far but Stalker persists. Nope, Sandoval circles away and we're back to standing.

Juanito Sandoval's cut is getting worse.
Stalker scores with a sloppy right hand. Sandoval should have avoided that one.
Stalker throws a front kick aimed at Sandoval's knee but Sandoval avoids it well.
Stalker feints and then cracks Sandoval's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sandoval down.
Sandoval looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stalker lands a nice hook to Sandoval's body. Sandoval takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Stalker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sandoval's head.

Jeez, Juanito Sandoval's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Sandoval takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
