The crowd seem to be enjoying Bong's choice of entrance music: Bite Marks - Screeching Weasel. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Suarez.

Suarez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bong manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Suarez has Bong in his guard.

Bong has momentary wrist control but Suarez slips an elbow through the middle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Suarez dominated that round.
That's time! Suarez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bong fails to land with a series of punches.
Suarez rushes Bong and presses him up against the cage.
Suarez takes an elbow to the forehead.
Bong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Suarez swings for the body but Bong moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Suarez or perhaps it was just good defense by Bong which made him look bad.
Bong moves into the clinch successfully.
Bong prevents the takedown attempt.
Bong lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Suarez backwards.
Bong is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Bong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Suarez tries for a takedown but Bong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Suarez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bong wants it to stay on the feet.

Bong lands with a kick to the temple. Suarez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Suarez, pushing him back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bong throws a big uppercut that drops Suarez! More strikes from Bong and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Suarez lies dazed against the cage as Bong celebrates with his cornermen!
