Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Negreanu thumps Sunan with a low kick.

and Negreanu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sunan 's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Negreanu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sunan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A head kick misses from Sunan .
Sunan swings for the body but Negreanu moves out of range.
Sunan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Negreanu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sunan - the referee stops the clock and Negreanu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sunan . Negreanu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Sunan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Negreanu swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Negreanu shoots in and drives through. Sunan sprawls well.

Sunan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Negreanu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Negreanu moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sunan has worked his arm free - good work by Sunan !
Sunan is not content to let Negreanu control the position.

Sunan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Negreanu has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Sunan bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sunan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Negreanu momentarily.

and Negreanu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sunan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Negreanu checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Sunan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Negreanu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Klahan Sunan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
