Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toms Gailitis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Bryan Adams! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gailitis ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gailitis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Adams has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Adams and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Adams misses with a double jab
and Gailitis counters with a leg kick. Adams lands a jab-cross combination. A looping hook to the body misses from Gailitis. Adams does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gailitis tries to bum rush Adams with a series of wild strikes but Adams uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gailitis checks the leg kick. Adams falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gailitis counters with a left to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gailitis swings and misses with a shot to the body and Adams counters with a nice leg kick. Gailitis just misses with a punch to the body.
Adams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gailitis. A combination from Adams does no damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gailitis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Adams thinking. Adams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gailitis.
Gailitis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Gailitis looks to land a combination but Adams avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gailitis lands with a shot to the body. Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
Adams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Toms Gailitis dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Adams throws a leg kick which misses Gailitis's front leg but catches the back leg as Gailitis tries to avoid it. Adams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gailitis counters with a low kick, right behind Adams 's knee. Gailitis instigates a clinch. Adams stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Stalling in the clinch from Adams.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Toms Gailitis. Adams falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gailitis counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gailitis throws a leg kick and Adams counters with a nice leg kick. Gailitis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Adams takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Gailitis is looking to wear down Adams with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Toms Gailitis dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Adams tries to score with a low kick but Gailitis moves his leg out of the way. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gailitis takes a swing at Adams's ribcage but misses. Adams misses with a series of wild punches.

and Gailitis counters with a left to the body. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gailitis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Adams was well out of range. Poor timing from Gailitis.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Toms Gailitis. Well Gailitis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
