Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Misual Lalpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lalpa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Seek n Destroy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Lalpa shoots in looking for a takedown but Hill manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lalpa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hill misses the body punch

and Lalpa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hill's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hill controls Lalpa momentarily but Lalpa frees himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lalpa closes the distance and clinches up with Hill, looking for a takedown. Lalpa pushes Hill against the cage but Hill circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hill throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hank Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hill is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lalpa had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Hill fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lalpa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Good leg kick by Hill there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Lalpa walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hill feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lalpas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hill lands a head kick. Lalpa smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hill throws a leg kick but Lalpa moved away.
Nice sprawl there from Hill as Lalpa shoots in.

Hill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hill has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
