PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yaotl Tecocol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kitsune Tsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tecocol comes to the cage accompanied by Perfect Dose. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Tecocol.
Tecocol scores with a kick to the midsection.
Tsuki wants to clinch up but Tecocol keeps it at a distance.
Tecocol scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Tsuki gets a double leg takedown into Tecocol's guard.
Tecocol is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Tsuki throws a big right hand that misses.
Tsuki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tsuki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tsuki cracks Tecocol with a solid left hand.
Tecocol knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tsuki on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tsuki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tecocol swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tsuki throws an elbow that misses. Tecocol uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tsuki's guard. Nice move by Tecocol!

Tsuki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tecocol doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tecocol manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tsuki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tecocol can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tecocol is looking for a kimura but Tsuki is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tecocol to get the leverage.
Tecocol looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Tecocol wants to pass to mount but Tsuki is defending the position.
Tecocol is taking a breather. Tsuki says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are battling for position here. Tsuki manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Tsuki has his foot on Tecocol's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tecocol works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Yaotl Tecocol.

Tsuki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tecocol sprawls well. Tecocol wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tsuki gets slowly back to his feet.
Tsuki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tecocol moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Tecocol throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tecocol connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Tsuki on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tecocol connects with a high kick.
Tecocol stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tecocol wants it to stay on the feet.
Tecocol lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Tsuki avoids the head kick by Tecocol.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tsuki fails to land with a series of punches.
Tecocol uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Tsuki's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Tecocol lands a leg kick that knocks Tsuki off balance momentarily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tecocol throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tsuki.
Tecocol clobbers Tsuki with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Tecocol.

Tecocol gets caught flat footed, as Tsuki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Tsuki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tsuki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tecocol wants to control from the top but Tsuki keeps moving.
Tecocol sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tsuki's guard.

Tsuki darts in and clinches Tecocol up against the cage.
Tecocol lands a hook to the side of the head.
Tsuki changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tecocol fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tecocol, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Yaotl Tecocol spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
