Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Straight Flush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dutch Schaeffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schaeffer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Long Tall Sally. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Straight Flush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dutch Schaeffer!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Flush.
Flush tests Schaeffer's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Schaeffer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Schaeffer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schaeffer wants it to stay on the feet.
Schaeffer throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Flush closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Schaeffer quickly recovers to half guard.
Schaeffer is not content to let Flush control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flush prevents Schaeffer from improving his position.
Schaeffer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schaeffer pushes Flush off looking to stand but Flush dives back in and keeps control.

Schaeffer controls Flush momentarily but Flush frees himself.
Flush with a flurry of punches that miss.
Schaeffer has control of Flush's left arm, preventing Flush from doing any damage.
Flush is working Schaeffer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Flush wants to control from the top but Schaeffer keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Straight Flush just wasn't active enough.
Flush fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Schaeffer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Flush doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Schaeffer counters with a one-two to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Straight Flush. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Flush darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Schaeffer is looking to control Flush's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Schaeffer avoid being mounted?
Flush wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schaeffer keeps working.
Schaeffer tries to get to full guard but Flush has control of the leg.
Flush takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Flush throwing shots but Schaeffer is blocking nicely.
Well, if Flush is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Flush drops an elbow to the side of Schaeffer's head.
Flush is taking a breather. Schaeffer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Schaeffer is trying to maintain the position but Flush is very close to passing his half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Flush is keen to just control but Schaeffer is a slippery customer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Flush fails with the takedown.
Schaeffer throws a hook but Flush blocks it.
Flush shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Schaeffer defends it nicely.

Oooooh!!! Schaeffer has knocked Flush down with a huge combo! Schaeffer steps away and waves a wobbly Flush back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Straight Flush has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Flush closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Flush lands in his opponent's guard.
Flush postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Flush trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Flush throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schaeffer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Flush seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dutch Schaeffer wasn't active enough on the ground.

Flush manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Schaeffer on his heels. He'll look to pass Schaeffer's guard now, I'm sure.

Flush landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That was a close second round but I would say that Straight Flush will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Straight Flush's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Schaeffer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No luck for Flush with that takedown attempt.

Straight Flush overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Flush in particular looking to stall.
Schaeffer wants to get back to his feet.
Flush wants to control but Schaeffer is keeping him busy.
Schaeffer pushes Flush off looking to stand but Flush dives back in and keeps control.

Flush perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Schaeffer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Flush scores with a couple of nice shots.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Flush connects with a nice short shot to Schaeffer's temple.
Schaeffer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Flush is working away from the top position though.

Straight Flush showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Flush, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Straight Flush spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
