Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Zalinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zalinski comes into the arena with We Don't Need Another Hero blaring out of the sound system. Douglas has chosen Douglas Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Douglas fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Zalinski is out of range.
Zalinski throws a lazy right hand but Douglas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Zalinski takes a swing at Douglas's ribcage but misses.
Zalinski misses with a head kick.
Ray Zalinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zalinski tries to clinch up.
A head kick misses from Douglas.
Douglas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Zalinski wants to clinch.
Douglas throws a sloppy head kick and Zalinski moves out of range easily.
Zalinski misses with a head kick.
Zalinski misses the shot to the body.
Douglas lands with a thumping leg kick.

No joy there for Zalinski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zalinski throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zalinski. Douglas does a little dance to reset his feet.
Zalinski throws a sloppy head kick
and Douglas counters with a stiff right hand.
Douglas cracks the inside of Zalinski's front leg.
Douglas blocks a low kick nicely.
Nice straight punches there by Douglas. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Douglas.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Douglas misses with a body shot.
Douglas throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Douglas throws a body kick that misses.
Douglas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Zalinski will feel that in the morning.
Zalinski is breathing heavily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Douglas.
Douglas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zalinski manages to avoid it.

Douglas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zalinski throws out the jab.
A left lands for Douglas.
Douglas circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Zalinski to the canvas! Zalinski doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Douglas keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dustin Douglas!
