The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley slips a jab and a cross from Villar.
Villar throws a low kick, looking for Riley's leg but Riley calmly moves out of range.
Villar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Riley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Villar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Riley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Good work by Riley as he checks the leg kick.
Villar throws a front kick aimed at Riley's knee but Riley avoids it well.

Riley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Villar looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Villar looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Villar!

Villar connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Riley some visible discomfort.
Riley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Villar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Villar throws an elbow but Riley slips to the side and avoids it well.
Riley takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Villar lands a big elbow - Riley is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Villar!
