Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noah Ho will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yoshi Chiba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Ho! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Chiba misses its intended target. Ho smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jab from Ho. Ho smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Chiba misses with a hook. Ho ducked under it nicely. Ho closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chiba's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chiba swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ho is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ho with a flurry of punches that miss. Ho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ho throwing strikes but missing. Ho postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ho tries to free his leg and advance position but Chiba is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ho drops back looking for a leg! Chiba is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chiba manages to kick Ho off! Ho jumps back into Chiba's guard. Ho in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ho with a flurry of punches that miss. Chiba avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ho trying to control the position from guard on top but Chiba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chiba wants to stand but Ho is controlling the position. Chiba keeping moving, preventing Ho from controlling successfully.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Noah Ho wasn't active enough on the ground. A combination from Ho does no damage. Chiba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ho looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ho has his takedown stuffed and Chiba counters with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chiba walks into a straight right hand from Ho. Ho shoots for a double leg takedown but Chiba sprawls well. He's pushed Ho's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ho throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A left lands for Ho. Ho scores with a one two! Chiba had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Chiba throws a lazy right hand but Ho sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chiba but Chiba pushes him off and we're back to square one. Yoshi Chiba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noah Ho. Ho ducks under a wild hook from Chiba. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chiba's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ho connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Chiba scrambles back to his feet. Ho darts in and out, connecting with a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Noah Ho dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Chiba keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ho gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Chiba counter with a right hand.
It looks like Noah Ho has been cut. Chiba blocks a jab. Ho misses with a jab, cross combination.
Chiba avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ho lands with an overhand left. Ho throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chiba on the side of the head. Ho slips a straight right by Chiba. Chiba takes one on the chin but seems OK.

No joy there for Ho, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Chiba is rocked! Ho connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Oh Chiba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ho connects with the punch. Ho fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Noah Ho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ho checks a leg kick. Chiba with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ho to score with a decent uppercut. Ho moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Ho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chiba moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ho misses with a wild combination.
Ho shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chiba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Yoshi Chiba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noah Ho. Ho is breathing heavily. Ho lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ho. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ho with a poor takedown and Chiba counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Ho looks for a takedown but Chiba sprawls well.

Chiba misses with a looping right. Chiba displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ho throws out the jab. Chiba seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters circle momentarily. Ho darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A combination from Chiba does no damage. Ho closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chiba circles away. Ho throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ho slips under a jab. Ho misses with a looping right. Ho fails with a takedown attempt. Chiba takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Chiba. Ho does a little dance to reset his feet. Ho lands with an overhand left. Chiba uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ho. Ho lands a really nice looking cross but Chiba seems unphased.
Ho connects with a single shot there. Chiba slaps away a takedown attempt from Ho, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ho scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Ho lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ho shoots in looking for a takedown. Chiba tries to sprawl out of it but Ho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chiba manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ho scores with a jab. Chiba acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Chiba missing with a left hand there. Ho was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Noah Ho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ho misses the jab. Ho scores with a jab to the head.

Ho fails with the takedown and Chiba counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Noah Ho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Noah Ho's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Chiba misses with an uppercut. Ho lands with a straight right. Chiba didn't see that one coming. Ho misses with a straight right. Ho scores with a punch to the head. Ho lands with an uppercut that bounces Chiba off the cage and back into range. Chiba missing with a left hand there. Ho was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Chiba uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ho. Ho lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chiba has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chiba there as he acknowledges the shot. Chiba throws a hook to the side of Ho's head but Ho sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ho cracks Chiba with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Ho lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Ho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chiba circles away quickly and effectively. Ho swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Chiba. Ho looks to land a combination but Chiba avoids it well. Ho getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Chiba keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ho takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chiba. Ho fails with the takedown and Chiba counters with a stiff right hand. Chiba throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ho.

Chiba is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ho. Chiba showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ho.
Ho might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Ho shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Chiba counter with a right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Ho moves out of range as Chiba strikes. Chiba misses with a hook. Ho ducked under it nicely. Ho gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Chiba counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Ho! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Chiba!
