Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lei Wulong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martinez comes to the cage accompanied by Major Lazer - Pon De Floor. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez tries a head kick but it misses.
Martinez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wulong.
Wulong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Martinez.
A combination from Martinez does no damage.
Wulong missing with a left hand there. Martinez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wulong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Martinez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wulong fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Martinez is out of range.
Martinez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wulong moves away.
Wulong lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wulong lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wulong checks a leg kick nicely.
Wulong just misses with a punch to the body.
Lei Wulong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wulong wants to clinch but Martinez slips to the side
and Martinez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Wulong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Martinez moves away.
Wulong misses with a hook. Martinez ducked under it nicely.
Martinez takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Martinez obliges.

Wulong tries for a takedown but Martinez manages to get underhooks.

Wulong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Martinez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Martinez counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Martinez cracks Wulong with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Martinez ducks under a wild hook from Wulong.
Wulong throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Martinez counters with an inside leg kick.
Wulong wants to clinch.
The fighters circling - Wulong throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Wulong pushes Martinez up against the cage in a clinch.
Martinez lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Wulong has picked Martinez up - he's going for a ride! Wulong dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Martinez tries to roll over but Wulong keeps him under control.

Martinez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Martinez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wulong.
Martinez dives in and grabs Wulong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wulong pushes down on Martinez's head and hops out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wulong trying to control but Martinez is having none of it.
A nice elbow there by Wulong.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martinez wants to hold on but Wulong pushes him away.

Wulong feints and then cracks Martinez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Martinez down.

Martinez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wulong but Wulong pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Martinez shoots for a double leg takedown but Wulong sprawls well. He's pushed Martinez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Santiago Martinez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wulong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martinez's waist but Martinez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wulong off to one side.

Wulong waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Martinez.
Martinez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab from Wulong finds it's way through Martinez's defenses.
Wulong throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Martinez.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wulong shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Martinez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Lei Wulong is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
