Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sloan Kettering (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Ding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sloan Kettering!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bill Ding!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ding will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kettering bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kettering content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Kettering working away.
Kettering tries to advance to mount but Ding denies him.
Ding tries to bench press Kettering off him but Kettering keeps the position.
Kettering in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Ding manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Kettering thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ding's head.

Kettering is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ding tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Kettering has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Well, if Kettering is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kettering rushes Ding and presses him up against the cage.
Ding is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
The referee calls for Kettering to work.
Kettering misses with some punches.
Kettering fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ding jumps guard but Kettering stands there with Ding around his waist. Ding gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ding has had enough of the clinch but Kettering keeps him there for the moment.

Kettering is trying to break the clinch but Ding has him pressed against the cage.

Ding has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kettering avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Kettering counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kettering accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Ding shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kettering decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ding's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kettering missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kettering postures up in Ding's guard and throws a big left but Ding blocks it.
Kettering passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Kettering throws an elbow but Ding slips to the side and avoids it well.
Ding really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kettering. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ding pushes Kettering away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kettering gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Ding slips a jab and a cross from Kettering.
Ding tries to clinch up but Kettering circles away and keeps his distance.

Ding feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kettering goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ding turns into him and now he's in Kettering's guard.
