The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabriel throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Gabriel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ivanov is looking to clinch.
Gabriel pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gabriel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ivanov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gabriel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Sergei Ivanov has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gabriel shoots for a double leg takedown but Ivanov sprawls well. He's pushed Gabriel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Gideon Gabriel!
After winning the bout, Gideon Gabriel thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
