The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by De Matos.
De Matos throws a wild body kick that Wukong sees coming a mile off.
De Matos lands a jab to Wukong's midsection.
De Matos closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wukong wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Wukong looks to score with a jab to the body but De Matos is just out of range.
Wukong takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wukong turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Wukong gets a clinch.
De Matos tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
De Matos throws a punch but it's blocked by Wukong.
Wukong blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Wukong tries to throw a body punch but De Matos avoids it by throwing Wukong back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wukong has a couple of punches blocked by De Matos.
Wukong connects with a nasty looking knee right to De Matos's face.
Wukong unloads a knee to the mid-section. De Matos lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Wukong prevents De Matos from breaking the clinch.
De Matos lands a body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head punch on the inside from Wukong fails to land.
De Matos misses with a hook from the clinch.
Wukong tries to work over De Matos's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
De Matos scores with an uppercut up the middle.
De Matos lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
De Matos pushes Wukong back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
De Matos on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
De Matos swings wildly with an uppercut but Wukong uses good head movement to avoid it.

De Matos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
De Matos buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
An inside leg kick from Wukong misses.
De Matos takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wukong doesn't manage to clinch there - De Matos circles away.
Wukong lands with a right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
De Matos moves out of range of the body kick.

De Matos lands a big head kick that sends Wukong tumbling to the mat! De Matos takes a step backwards and waves Wukong back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wukong is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
De Matos is stalking Wukong. Wukong circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from De Matos, and it's lights out! Wukong really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
