Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caden Akergaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhani Kontiovaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Juhani Kontiovaara was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kontiovaara shoots in for a takedown but Akergaard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Akergaard misses with a kick to the body.
Akergaard has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kontiovaara misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Akergaard.
Akergaard throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sloppy strikes from Kontiovaara. Those never looked like landing.

Kontiovaara misses with a series of wild punches.

Akergaard throws the kick towards the body but Kontiovaara avoids it.
Akergaard misses with a body kick.
Kontiovaara shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Akergaard as he avoids it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Akergaard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kontiovaara is fending him off so far but Akergaard persists. Nope, Kontiovaara circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Kontiovaara. No joy for Akergaard on that attempt.
A combination from Kontiovaara does no damage.
Akergaard shoots in and gets a takedown into Kontiovaara's guard.
Akergaard throws a big elbow that misses.
Akergaard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kontiovaara has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Akergaard has managed to get both his arms back between Kontiovaara's legs - danger averted.

Kontiovaara is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Akergaard frees his head nicely. Oh but Kontiovaara has switched to an armbar! Akergaard is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
